Forty-five fun, different, gross motor skills are fully described for the educator (parent) to teach children K-2nd grade or older children who are challenged. The educator’s job is to support the child in mastering each activity before going on to a more difficult level.
Equipment needed: Mini-tramp, Balance Board, Balance Beam. The activities are cognitive motor exercises that require students to think, pre-plan, and stay focused for a specific amount of time. The activities teach balance, coordination, rhythm, eye-movement, and laterality skills — all of which stimulate the nervous system and integrate both hemispheres of the brain. The purpose of mastering the pre-planned motor skills: to prevent learning problems.
