Our Process

ASSESSMENT AND CONDITIONING

Step One: Assessment

For students of all ages the process begins first with finding out what shape you’re in. This is done with the Structure of Intellect Thinking Abilities Assessment, which takes about three hours. Kindergarten-2nd graders take a shorter test individually. Most students and adults find it a fun experience and hard work as well.

Occasionally parents take the assessment along with their children. The Assessment is usually given in small groups, unless it is necessary to test a student individually. Reading level must be 3rd grade or above.

Step Two: Assessment Interpretation and Screening

All Assessment results are delivered with an Analysis of thinking abilities, which is interpreted in person. For an additional fee we offer a Career Analysis of about 20 pages for high school students and adults. The Career Analysis is helpful, because your thinking abilities are compared to the abilities needed in many different careers.

We also give a Sensory Motor and Eye-movement Screening, which provides you with very valuable information. From that Screening and the Thinking Abilities Assessment a Total Learning (see the Total Learning Tower) Treatment Plan follows, and you are on the way to getting fit! We call our program the Brain Workout Challenge Course and YOU CAN DO IT! It usually takes 24-36 sessions; some students take longer.

Step Three: Strengthening and Conditioning with the BRAIN WORKOUT CHALLENGE Course

In one-hour sessions once a week, students work one-on-one with a coach. Part of each session is spent on cognitive motor activities that improve:

  • RHYTHM
  • BALANCE
  • COORDINATION
  • LISTENING
  • FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
  • EYE-MOVEMENT SKILLS
  • and FOCUSING

The other part of each session is spent on cognitive activities that are practiced on the computer or paper and pencil work to improve:

  • COMPREHENSION
  • MEMORY
  • EVALUATION
  • PROBLEM SOLVING
  • BASIC READING and MATH SKILLS

Most students commit to a 24 session program.
